Tallgrass Learning Center
Welcome to 2009-2010 school year. The school is between the WRHS and the WRMS. My name is David Cromer and I am honored to be the building principal.

Tallgrass is a small school designed to provide a quality academic program within a highly structured school environment to support appropriate school behaviors. Students attending Tallgrass are placed here through their Individual Education Plan's (IEP) placement process. We provide service to 7th - 12th grade students with significant emotional and/or behavioral disabilities.

The Tallgrass staff comprises of five special education teachers, five para-professionals, a full-time social work, a school secretary, and a school nurse. We all are highly committed to the individual academic and behavioral success of each student.

Each student at Tallgrass will experience a strong sense of "family" from all staff members. We meet challenges together, support each other, and celebrate successes. We like to have fun with our students in our safe and structured environment while we challenge them with our high academic learning expectations. We care about each student no matter what challenges they are facing. We are here to help and support each student because our work is so important to their future successes. We love the adventure!
